Palamedes is a necromancer. His can use his powers against ghosts and zombies. Or "revenants", like he calls them.
I wouldn't usually suggest it, but if you want to figure out if it was a deliberate attack, check photos at sea. I bet it was documented like all the other awful bullshit.
And I'm glad we're back, too. We can't let it happen again.
